Jan. 6, 2007 - World Views of a Kindergartener

On the radio news..........

       Punkins: "Mom!  Turn off that yucky news!  They're always saying someone is getting killed.  Soon the flag will be so low that I can touch it!"

On poverty in 3rd World Countries (after watching a stirring U-tube video clip).......

     At bedtime before going to sleep, she said "Mom, I'm really sorry for those little kids.  I feel bad that they wasted all their money and now they don't even have food to eat!" 

         It was my duty to inform her sadly of the reality of earthly poverty.  I was so proud of how she responded: "Mom, I want to take ALL my piggy bank money and send to those little kids.  I don't want a violin with it.  I want to give it all".

     Lord, give us child hearts in 2007!
