Mar. 20, 2007 - Spring!

Punkins has looked forward to Spring with the greatest of anticipation.  Last evening when she prayed, she said  in an awestruck tone "God, I don't understand how You're going to  make the trees burst open, but I know you will!". 

This morning she asked again when First Day of Spring will be here.  I told her that tomorrow is the Big Day  (according to my calendar).

Beautiful eyes danced in excitement as she asked "What time will the trees burst open?????"

As I explained to her that Spring doesn't exactly "hit" like that, her shoulders began to droop.  Her head dropped.  If I could have seen her mouth, it would probably have had a protruding lower lip.

Amused yet saddened that my precious child's balloon of expectancy had been burst by reality, I quickly added :  "It probably happens like that in Heaven, tho!  In fact, it's probably ALWAYS Spring in Heaven!!"

The butterfly of pure JOY alighted on my little girl's face.......gone were the drooping shoulders, the despondent head....................................SPRING IN HEAVEN - what a glorious thought!!!!
