Mar. 29, 2006 - I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!!
I'm a little cranky right now, so please excuse me. I have just discovered that the internet is not always "a good thing". Let me start with how my day was originally scheduled:
My husband left for Bio-Lab at 6:30am (while we all slept). He then headed to work, to work from 10am to 6pm. From there, he plans to go back up to the school and go to rehearsal (the play is next week...Praise the Lord!), where he will be there from 6:30-10:30. So, that means the kids saw him last YESTERDAY at 6pm and won't see him again till TOMORROW at 7am, or whenever they decide to bless us with their presence. With all that said, keep in mind, we have 1 vehicle for the both of us...which he took! So, I had plans of finishing up my laundry piles, working on the letter G again and counting to 20 (we just love the egg crate counter from Jaminacema). Then, I wanted to take the kids on a walk, b/c my hubby called to gloat that it would be a nice day for a walk. Then I would bathe them and we were going to make "clay ornaments"...which we could take as Easter gifts to my family in a few weeks (or as my best friend pointed out 2 weeks, 2 days, we'll be "home").
Ok, so my husband decided to stop back by the house to get some breakfast and lunch. That was nice. The kids were soooo thrilled. So was I. After he left, I went to get on the computer, while the kids had their free time. I noticed that I had left my MSN IM up all nite. I had a message from my sister-in-law. She had a "question?" for me. So I answered back with, "shoot". She and her husband decided to come to town tonite, since it is their spring break, and wanted to know if she could stay with us. Let me give you a picture of our house: we live in a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bathroom DUPLEX. We don't have loads of room here. My MIL and FIL live across town and have offered to put them up in a hotel, their treat. But my BIL (whom is ADHD and takes 45 minute showers...which is why he's not allowed to stay at my mother-in-laws) feels that that is rude and he shouldn't have to stay at a hotel, when he can just stay at our house instead. I didn't really know what to say. I said OK, but then paniced. That means I have to get my house cleaned (I'm very OCD and get stressed with a. my house is a wreck and people are coming and b. when my plans get changed from their original schedule). I also realized I have no food in the house, at least not enough to feed people for breakfast. But WE ONLY HAVE 1 CAR. Thank the Lord, I was on-line talking to my buddy Tara and she offered to come over and pick me up this afternoon and go to the grocery store with me. Such a blessing!
I guess I'm just irritated, b/c I feel like we are a hotel to them...like we are being used. They only come when it is convieniant for them. They stay the nite, but not to visit (did I mention that they won't get here till 11pm tonite...once my kids are in bed), and eat my food and use my shower. It's just frustrating. I'm finally taking a break from cleaning to get caught up on here...my sanctuary! I had other topics of discussion for the day, but I guess those will hafta wait till tomorrow....when I had other plans to do other things (visit a friend who just had a baby). oh well! back to the cleaning grind...
dear lord, I pray that you will give me peace and patience. I pray that you will take away my anxioty and that you will just help me to get things done before they come over. Lord, I pray that you help me to be understanding and loving towards these people...

Mar. 29, 2006 - Sorry about your day
I had a great time today. I got some great books and even though setting up the book sale was 4 hours of back breaking work, it was a lot of fun and satisfying to help out the library.
Mar. 29, 2006 - Thank you for leaving...
I'll be praying for your visit from the bil/sil. I get freaked out also with having my home be perfectly clean before anyone can visit.
God bless,
Linda
