Dec. 25, 2006 - Merry Christmas

The last time that I left an entry, it was Easter...now, TODAY in fact, it is Christmas.  WHEW!  What a crazy last few months.

For those of you who have asked, my FIL is doing GREAT.  Christmas time was a time of celebration, not only the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, but of the miracles that Jesus has brought.  My FIL's surgery went very well.  He is continuing his radiation/chemo treatments till next month.  He is declared CANCER FREE, but the treatments are for "just in case".  I gave them a cross to hang on their wall (pewter...very beautiful) to hang beside a poem that my MIL found in regards to how cancer affects.  It does not limit our friends, family, nor the resurrection...it was very beautiful and I wish I could post it, but I'm not at home right now.

Another PRAISE is our son, the week after turning 6, asked Jesus into his heart.  It was such an awesome feeling and I was able to lead him in the prayer.  He received his first Lord's Supper on Christmas Eve at my parents church.  It was AWESOME.  I just cried and prayed the entire time.

I apologize for it being 7 months since my last post, but I'm sure you've all been as busy as me, if not more.  I started working 2 days a week at the church we joined this summer.  I teach 15 3-year olds at Kid's Day Out.  My kids are attending as well and it's been a real blessing, both mentally and spiritually.  It's also helped SOCIALLY, as well.  My 6 year old is doing 1st grade work, even though he's supposed to be considered in kindergarten.  My 3 year old is loving have a few days to herself with her new friends and my husband and I are enjoying the "extra money"...it's helping us not be so stressed about getting our bills pay each month.

That's pretty much all I've got today.  MERRY CHRISTMAS and hope to see you soon!
