"The rushing waves, the blue black skies, the lighthouse shifts her glowing eye! As darkness falls the storm clouds come, raindrops falling one by one. Aloof among the dark waves breaking rocking ships the deep sea taking. Thrust To and fro the wind doth blow, sending a frightful gust! The trembling sailors bend heads in prayer, "Safekeeping Lord!" cry they! But they pray in vain and as they look the waves come crashing down! With a sigh the great ship sinks, her crew a'moan in pain. But none are there to hear their cry, labour they in vain. And as drifting wood is cast ashore, as the frothy waves await. The ship is gone it is no more, the storm 'twas it so great. And now, at last the storm abates, the waves they break no more. And now there's naught left but to long await the slowly coming morn."
