About Me:
I'm 51, married to my college sweetheart for almost 30 years, the blessed mom of our 5 miracles, 3 girls and 2 boys, ages 10-27, and have been homeschooling since 1987and graduated our 3 oldest children - Our oldest daughter (27) is a 2nd grade teacher in a Christian school and helps lead a youth group, our oldest son (24) is a mechanic, helps lead the same youth group as our oldest daughter and is involved in music ministry as a guitarist, and our middle daughter (19) is an early childhood education major in college and assists the leader of a Royal Rangers troop. We are currently in our 23rd year of homeschooling and still teaching our 16 year old daughter and our 10 year old son.
I am a Messianic Jew and came to know Jesus as my Messiah as a teen, accepting Him into my heart on the night of my 18th birthday (best birthday present ever!).
My husband and I run a homeschooling support group known as LIFT UP - Long Island Family Teachers United in Prayer - which was a local Christian support group for many years, but now serves as an information clearing house which is available via phone and the internet. We also host a home fellowship and prayer group in our home that meets twice a month and are active in music ministry and Jewish evangelism and host Messianic seders for churches regularly.
I love to read the Word, read Christian and classic literature, love good movies, love to sing, love to listen to all kinds of music, but worship music is my favorite, and love to do all kinds of crafts. My favorite Bible characters, besides Jesus, of course, are Hannah, Deborah, David, Samuel and Joshua. My favorite scriptures are Psalm 37 and Proverbs 31. My favorite singers include Chris Tomlin, Keith Green, Lamb (the Messianic group, not the rock group) and Casting Crowns). I also love books and movies with Christian themes. I watch very little TV, but am a newshound.
The only show I faithfully watch is the show, Jericho, which was recent cancelled but our entire family in involved with a group that is trying to bring this wonderful show back on the air...
