Kings. Many have risen, still more have fallen. To the ones who seek to rule with wisdom and understanding, a light shall be given to them, a hand to guide them in their ruling. Yet why are the so faithful few? Repeatedly in the histories of the united realms, kings have used their own subjects for their selfish gain. Starvation, taxation, slavery, the cruel torture which reaps fear in the hearts of their people. Subjects treated like puppets, without a soul. Will no man step away from the cowering crowds and speak out against the madness of blatant weakness? Should not the king be one who loves uprightness and power sought through pure means? More horrible than bloodthirsty tyrants can be the ruler who is distant and corrupt. Sometimes the one who is destined to make a change, to rebel against rebelllion, is also the one doomed to be the last man standing.
