She was the youngest of four girls,Loucinda Mae Hamish, Grandma Lue for short, as a tall wig of a woman with a long gray braid and sharp features. She was the undisputed Master Gardeber in out family, she had come of age in depression. When Grandma Lue came over she always brought packets of her own seeds in a envelopes and labeled with instructions she gave each of us a piticular plant. At my sisters weddings she gave us a Mason jar layerd with seeds from her garden.when i got married Grandma Lue brought me a jar with seeds in it ,but the seeds werent patterned like my sisters but i could understand because her health.Grandma Lue died the year out twins were born , when the twins were todlers i moved the seed jar to the top of my refrigerator so they couldnt reach it.We moved , a year later Mark my husband was hit by a drunk driver but he has to be tooken care of by a nurse, i hardly ate my sister Jenny who lived near by came over sometimes and made me eat a little but one night she came over with lasagna we sat at the table and ate then she asked about Mark i started to cry i told her he should be home soon. When she went to put the lasanga away she seen the jar and asked what it was and i told her , she said "You mean you never opend this?" i told her "No i never had a patch of soil good enough i guess" she said "Come on lets open it!" as she opend it the seeds fell all over as i ran to catch them, she said"do you have any idea what these are worth?!?" I gatherd a handful of them and said a silence prayer thanks to my Grandma Lue .
*Mr.Gillespie*
When i was in seventh grade i was a candy striper at a local hospital i voulneteered about 30 to 40 hours a week during the summer.I spent most of my time with Mr.Gillespie,he never had anyone visit him accept me nobody seemed to care about his condition he was in a coma.I left for a week on vaction with my parents when i got back Mr.Gillespie was gone i never asked he nurses about him cause i was scared that they might tell me he died. But i still continued to volunteer through my 8th grade year.Several years later when i was in junior high i was at the gas station when i seen a fimiliar face, when i realized it was Mr.Gillespie,i asked if he was Mr.Gillespie and he said yes with a uncertain look on his face.We talked for awhile then hugged and said our goodbyes and went out separate ways.although i havent seen him in since he still fills my heart with joy,i know i have made a difference between his his life and death, i will never forget him and what he did for me,he had made me an angel.
