We are just as Gideon of the Old Testament. We are but humble servants seeking to serve our Lord. We are Gideon’s Academy…
...my family is the least in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father's house. But the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you…”
We make no claims of greatness in skill, strength, nor intellect. We are surely the least, but surely the Lord will also be with us.
The Lord said to Gideon, The people who are with you are too many for Me to give Midian into their hands, for Israel would become boastful, saying, ‘My own power has delivered me.’
We recognize that we are in the minority. We further recognize that a majority of men is a minority without God. Our success shall be of His enabling; of His power.
So Gideon and the hundred men who were with him came to the outskirts of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, when they had just posted the watch; and they blew the trumpets and smashed the pitchers that were in their hands. When the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers, they held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing, and cried, "A sword for the LORD and for Gideon!"
We acknowledge that our methods and tools are considered to be atypical. We embrace the fact that God throughout human history has chosen to use atypical men in atypical ways to bring about gloriously atypical results.
A Sword For The Lord, And A Sword For Gideon’s Academy!
