About Me:
I'm a homeschool mom of 3 girls. We school our youngest two, Kennedi and Kaylee. Courtney, our oldest, is 22 and expecting our first grandchild, Ava. Her due date was Jan. 14, 2008...still waiting. My husband, Charlie, is my best friend and companion. He and I are growing together in the Lord and learning so much about parenting and family life as we go. We attend a family integrated church, this is a new direction. We have been believers for 10 years (well, he has been, I'm younger in the Lord...about 6 years now). We left our church of 7 years last Spring of 2007. It was a wonderful church but we didn't feel that it was the place for our children to continue to grow in the Lord. We have very strong convictons about others teaching our children about God. As Dueteronomy 6 encourages us that the call of the father is to be the teacher of his children. This new way of worship has stretched us as parents as we no longer have any dependence or expecations of the church to be responsible for our children's spiritual lives...it is ours. God has been blessing our family ever since we began walking with him but especially as of lately as He is not only teaching us so much more but we see fruit in the lives of our daughters blossoming. They have grown more in their spiritual lives in the past year and we attribute that to the fact that we have removed so many distractions from their church life as we have transitioned to the family integrated church worship. God is soooo Good to us! May He continue to teach us!

 Preparing ourselves to relocate to the country someday very soon. | 3 entries, 6 comments | | Listed in Classical | | We have started reading Our Homestead Series by the Castleberrys. It is a wonderfully written book that is very descriptive in sharing their learning experiences as they transitioned to farm life. We long to move our family to the country one day...the Lord willing. We don't care if it's here in Indiana or another state...we are hopeful. |
