About Me:
40-ish, 3 Blessings, married 22 years this year.
We spend our summers working in the world of Renaissance Faires, being witnesses to the glory of God to many people who have lost sight of Him and have turned to the false religions of Paganism, Wiccan, etc.
My children "work" at the Faire all summer. The oldest boy works on a ship, making sure children don't fall off. My daughter is a true entertainer. She juggles, unicycles, does magic tricks (actually she does a magic show with her older brother), and plays a fairy in a gorgeous costume that makes her the envy of every little girl for miles around (she isn't a fairy every year, though).
My youngest truly works. This 11 year old donates his summers to keep the fires burning under large cast iron kettles.
In the heat of summer, up to 104* last year, he still fanned the flames to keep these kettles going so that the employees of the Faire (of which there are over 300) can have a much needed meal at midday. (everything is done as if the year is 1574)
We live with extended family whose religious beliefs are different than ours. They are Christian, but our views are very different.
This blog is going to be my way of venting at times and I apologize up front for that.. <G> But perhaps it will help me get past some issues if I get feedback and prayers and/or just have a way to vent.
