Pro-Family Adventures!!

• Sep. 5, 2006 - Labor Day

My darling husband surprised us with a little getaway to Orlando, to the kids favorite hotel. We took the kids to Bass Pro Shop. Daddy had as much fun as the kids too. CP and I did a little shopping in the mall. JF met us at the mall and we had lunch together.

Poor CP was knocked down by a another boy at the hotel in the pool. He was playing rough and jumping in the pool. He jumped right on top of her and knocked her underwater and against the wall. I immediately yelled at the boy with a mother's rage. CP was crying. The boy did not even apologize. Where are his manners!

We spent labor day around the house. We ended our day with a picnic in a tent in our living room and classical music in the background. What a nice way to end our weekend!

Sounds like lots of fun. I'm so glad that your daughter didn't get seriously hurt. We have a pool and know how easy it is for that kind of thing to go down.

Your poor daughter! Once, a boy threw sand in Brandon's face (he was four, I think) and I transformed into Mama Bear. I wanted to hold that kid down, pry his eyes open, and throw sand in them! It was a shocking response! LOL! I'm glad she's okay. Do you think your husband could surprise MY family with a weekend getaway to Orlando? We would really appriciate it : )

Your week-end sounds like it was wonderful (except for the pool incident--roughneck boys!!). We loved the picnic in the living room tent, with music and everything!! Have fun.......Love you.....

What fun to end with a campout in the house!!!! That is great. Sorry about the troubles at the swimming pool. We had that happen one time a few years ago. A child walked right up and pushed Bethany Grace (then 4) in the pool. I was in shock. It was no accident. The child just walked up and pushed her in. It was VERY hard for me to have self-control. :-)
