I don't know how to cut hair and dd wouldn't trust me with hers, nor would dh. My dad is a former barber, so occasionally, I will let him cut mine, as well as cut dd's bangs when they get too long.

DD and I get ours cut for $3.00 at the beauty school.

I tried to give my husband a haircut once when we were newly married. The results were not good. He won't let me anywhere near his hair anymore. lol.

We are too scared to try this at our house! It's one thing to trim the dogs, but messing up my child's hair is an entirely different story. LOL I do however do minor trimming to extend the length of time between haircuts.

I have to laugh. My grandson came to visit one summer, and his hair was so long I cut it. His Dad was not happy with me, and for years after that, every time the kids came to visit he would tell me "no haircutting". Those clippers with the attachment for desired hair length are a great investment.

You could post step by step instructions? My sister does a great job on my son's hair; but we can't afford to drive there every six weeks for a hair cut. I haven't been brave enough to try it myself!
