Church tonight
Church was very good tonight. We had an awesome prayer time!! My group included me, Mom, Grandmother, and our newest member, Miss. Maryanna. She's such a sweet lady! I love her to death! It was so nice to hear either myself or someone else in my group praying and also two other ladies from the other two groups and knowing that at least 2 groups of men were praying in the other room. It's amazing how God can hear all of our prayers at the same time! I love Him soooo much! He's always been so good to us!
Kris did our Bible lesson at church tonight. He's so passionate when he preaches! And, those of you who know him will agree, he talks so fast that he could easily have made his 10 minute lesson into a 30 minute lesson! Lol. I love my brother!
After church, my family and my grandparents had this very strange urge to eat ice cream. I so don't understand it. How can people actually enjoy that stuff??
Pa (my grandfather) bought everyone ice cream and I got an apple. Lol. I love apples, much better than ice cream!!!
Well, tomorrow we're leaving around 9 for Daddy's retirement ceremony. After the ceremony, I think I'm gonna go with Karla and Papa Chuck to look at a few houses here, pray they move up here! It would be soooooooo nice to have my bestest friend here!!!
I love you, Karla!!! I don't know how much, if at all, I'll be on the computer tomorrow, at least not until the evening.
Love you and good night!
Super-duper-hyper-Nancy is going to bed.... hopefully!

Me and Justus
Me: What are you going to be when you grow up?
Justus: An uncle!!
Me: Yup! Are you going to be a man of God too?
Justus: Yep!
Me: And a preacher?
Justus: Yup!
Me: What about a soul-winner?
Justus: Yep!
Me: Do you know what a soul-winner is?
Justus: Nope! What is it?
Me: A soul-winner tells people about Jesus and how to go to Heaven.
Justus: I'm gonna be saved when I'm big! Then I'm gonna go to Heaven too, but (very matter of factly) I have to die first.

My little preacher
Justus was sitting on Mom and Dad's bed earlier watching Mom curl her hair. He was holding a Bible and saying "Take your Bibles and turn to John 4... I mean, John 2.... no, John 4." then he'd talk a little about nothing in particular. I think he's listened to Pastor Garland preach too much, he's starting to preach like him! Lol. It was so cute!!

Well...
Well, we were supposed to go to Leonardos after the museum today, but everyone wanted ice cream so we went to Braums instead. Pa wanted to pay for it because he's not able to since they don't live here and to make him feel better, I had a little. I had the carbwatch coffee ice cream, it was pretty good. Even though it had no sugar in it (was loaded with other bad junk) I feel really bad now, like very achy!
Then after that, we went to the base for dinner, then on to Curt and Sarah's for cake and ice cream for Daddy's bday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!!! If I can ever figure out how to load pictures, I'll show em to ya. I took loads of pics (surprise!) but can't figure out how to put them on my blog. :( Oh well, I'll see what I can do.

Thought these were too funny to not share :)
A young child walked up to her mother and
stared at her hair. As mother scrubbed on the dishes, the girl cleared
her throat and sweetly asked; "Why do you have some grey strands in
your hair?"
The mother paused and looked at her daughter. "Every time you disobey, I get one strand of grey hair. If you want me to stay pretty, you better obey."
The mother quickly returned to her task of washing dishes. The little girl stood there thinking. She cleared her throat again. "Mother?" She sweetly asked again.
"Yes?" Her Mother replied. "Why is Grandma's hair all grey?"
-----
Three engineers and three accountants were traveling by train to a conference. At the station, the three accountants each bought tickets and watched as the three engineers bought only one ticket.
"How are three people going to travel on only one ticket?" asked an accountant.
"Watch and you'll see", answered an engineer.
They all boarded the train. The accountants took their respective seats, but the three engineers all crammed into a rest room and closed the door behind them. Shortly after the train departed, the conductor came around collecting tickets. He knocked on the restroom door and said, "Ticket, please".
The door opened just a crack and a single arm emerged with a ticket in hand.
The conductor took it and moved on.
The accountants saw this and agreed it was a quite clever idea. So, after the conference, the accountants decide to copy the engineers on the return trip and save some money (being clever with money, and all that). When they got to the station, they bought a single ticket for the return trip. To their astonishment, the engineers didn't buy a ticket at all.
"How are you going to ride without a ticket"? said one perplexed accountant.
"Watch and you'll see", answered an engineer.
When they boarded the train, the three accountants crammed into a restroom and the three engineers crammed into another one nearby. The train departed. Shortly afterward, one of the engineers left his restroom and walked over to the restroom where the accountants were hiding. He knocked on the door and said, "Ticket, please."

Today
My grandparents are coming in late tonight, they'll come over to our house in the morning. Thankfully, they're gettin a hotel for the week!
It's sad, but it's kind of like this
when they're here. (I love these smilies!!!)
So yeah, today we're going to be finishing up cleaning the house, my grandmother likes to inspect every corner and make sure everything's just perfect.
I'm off to tackle the sewing room. Pray for me!!!!

Church notes
Well, this morning's service was really good. It was so nice to have Pastor back!! He's been in North Carolina with his wife and family for 2 weeks. Mrs. Garland's (Pastor's wife) dad has alzheimers (sp?) and she's taking care of him.
Anywho, my notes from the sermon this morning are as follows:
Finding the Will of God John 5:30
The Matter of the Heart Jeremiah 12:1-11
Anywho, my notes from the sermon this morning are as follows:
Finding the Will of God John 5:30
- Don't seek your own will!
- If it's God will, it will happen! John 6:39
- God can will something, but we don't always do it. :(
- When you're in God's will, you'll be disatisfied with yourself. There's something wrond if you're happy with yourself (where you stand with God) There's always room for improvement. We'll never be free from our sinful desires/tendencies or stop fightint Adam (our sinful nature) until we reach the Promised Land. 1 Peter 3:18
- You'll be useful to God. You have a will to use, as well as a head and some hands. Put yourself to good use for God!
- You'll be successful. You may not ever be famour, but you will be successful in His eyes. It's simple, just follow Him while He molds you into who He wants you to be.
- You'll be a blessing to others. Gen 30:26. Even worldly men (and women) will notice that GOd blesses them because of you. There are other ways to do things, but only one right and successful way!
The Matter of the Heart Jeremiah 12:1-11
- Mat 22:37- God is more interested in what's in your heart than what's in your church. Being right in doctrine isn't the most important thing, being right with God in you heart it!
- Gal 5:6- Circumcision (or old tradition) isn't near as important as faith and love!
- Heb 5:5-8- If Jesus Christ was moved to tears, why shouldn't we be? Our hearts should be tender enough to be moved to tears. Oh, please don't harden your heart! Don't let your heart grow cold to things of the Lord!!!
- Psalm 142:4- "No man cared for my soul" Don't let people who know you say this. Care for people!!!
- Heb 3:13- We must encourage each other every day! If you truly love people, you'll encourage them!

Church
Church
was pretty good this morning. I had about 2 hours notice that I was
going to be playing (piano) and our organist wasn't there so I had to
do everything. Grrr! I know I need the practice, but I like to have
most than 2 hours to get ready. I didn't have any time to practice at
all last week because we were getting ready for the craft show we did
yesterday.
The message was very good! I'm so happy Pastor's back, I missed him so much when he was gone!!! I was printing the bulletin this morning and someone kissed my cheek. I just assumed it was Dad because he does that very often but when I looked up I saw Pastor standing there. It was...... kinda weird, getting a kiss from my pastor. He's a great guy, we all love him so much! And, as I was sure he'd do, he reminded Hannah and I that he's got grandsons. lol.
I left my Bible and notebook at church today so I'll have to wait till tonight to post my notes on the sermon, it was really good!

Craft show
Well,
the craft show yesterday was really bad, nobody sold hardly anything.
Also, we found out shortly after we got there that the pastor of the
church is a woman! Yikes!! That was VERY disapointing and practically
ruined the show for us.
Karla and Papa Chuck were supposed to get there around 2 but pleasantly surprised us by showing up around 10:30. :D YAY!!! Karla stayed the rest of the day with us, we had a very good time together as you'll probably notice in the pictures. Most of the day was pretty boring, but just spending it with Karla and Amber (Amber got there around 1) made it all worth it to me. Thank you God for 2 wonderful friends!!!

Karla and Papa Chuck

We didn't have enough chairs so I was holding Amber until someone brought another chair over for her. :)

I literally hung out the window to get this pic! It was much prettier in real life!! :D

Lovely Amber

Aint's she purty?!

I
closed my eyes for 5 minutes and Hannah thought I was sleeping. I
wasn't! I had to stay awake and talk to Mom to keep her from falling
asleep, she was so exhausted!!

New blog
Hi y'all. I moved to Homeschool Blogger because some of the blogs at Blogspot are.... inapropriate and I wasn't comfortable with that. This is a MUCH cleaner and safer environment!
