When I was born and left the comfort of my mother's womb,

It was the hardest thing I ever had to do.

When I was learning to walk and stumbling with every step,

It was the hardest thing I ever had to do.

When I went to school and tried to learn English, math and science,

It was the hardest thing I ever had to do.

When my family moved away and I had to start all over alone,

It was the hardest thing I ever had to do.

When my heart was broken and it had to mend,

It was the hardest thing I ever had to do.

When my best friends died and I missed them so very much,

It was the hardest thing I ever had to do.

When my children where grown and I had to let them go,

It was the hardest thing I ever had to do.

But when I loved the Lord and trusted Him,

It was the easiest thing I ever did.
