Posted in Poetry

Close your eyes, my little one,
Rest your weary mind,
Drift away on clouds of dreams,
Leave this day behind.

Sleep my child in peaceful bliss,
Wrapped up in my love,
Tomorrow soon will be today,
With newness from above.

So let the gentle slumber,
Wash over you tonight,
God’s blessings soon will greet you,
In the morning light.
