Thursday, August 28, 2008 - Little Sparrow

Posted in Poetry

Little Sparrow, frail and small,
Hear your Savior’s call,
Reach out to Him,
Be freed from sin,
His blood covered all.

Little Sparrow, with wings to fly,
Heed your Master’s cry,
Be reborn
Released from scorn,
His love will lift you high

Little Sparrow, leave the nest,
Receive your Father’s best,
Joy and peace
Within your reach,
Your life will be blessed.

Little Sparrow spread the Word,
Let His Song be heard,
Within your heart,
A brand new start,
His Promise is delivered.

Little Sparrow, chosen one,
When your life is done
No more sorrow,
A new tomorrow,
Rejoicing with the Son.

Heaven waits
With open Gates
To welcome one and all.
Receive Him in
Released from sin
Simply answer His call.

Once again, great poem! You really should try to get some of yours published someday.

Tuesday, September 2, 2008 - Great work!

Posted by SongOfTheSagebrush

I read these a couple of days back, and enjoyed them, but didn't have time to comment! I like the rhyme schemes! I never got much out of the studies of that stuff...I just like how a poem "feels", I guess. These are great!

Hubby had 10 days off, so we got to go fishing, do some home improvement, and I'm trying to catch up on my garden. To top that off, the boys say they saw a rattlesnake out there after I was done picking stuff Sat. Now I'M rattled! Yikes!

Hoping to catch up on posting at my blog, but I'm still behind around the house!

Blessings,
Anne-Marie
