Feb. 5, 2008 - Working out at Y
Dd and I have been using the pool at the Y for about 18 months now. We have never checked into all the other options for exercising.
DD's hs group started PE classes at the Y yesterday. While touring with them to see what areas they would be using for their classes, we saw the pilates room, weight room, as well as the cycling room.
Today dd and I decided to try out the weight room. We used the treadmills for about 30 minutes, followed by some of the weight lifting machines. Those things are AWESOME!
Since I am seriously out of shape, not to mention that I have a very bad back, I only did 5-10 repetitions on the machines I used. I can't believe how much I can "feel" it in my muscles. The real test will be tomorrow. Will I be able to move?
And, will my back still be in place, or will I have knocked it out of alignment again?

Hi there, thanks for stopping by. I need to check out the Y here in our new town. Is there an age minimum for working out with the weights?
I can't seem to locate your body scrub recipe, I'll run back to Mary's blog and see if you left the link on Mr. Linky :)

I did not see an age requirement for using the weights. DD used a few yesterday, and nobody came over to say she couldn't do it.
I don't know what happened to the sugar scrub recipe. I was sure I posted it, but I can't seem to find it either. I will post it on Tuesday, provided that I remember. If I forget, feel free to remind me!
