Jul. 15, 2008 - Tightwad Tuesday - Gatorade
1 pack unsweetened Kool Aid (any flavor)
2 quarts cold water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teas. salt
1/2 cup orange juice
Mix together. This equals the electrolyte replacement found
in many popular drinks on the market. Great for a hot summer!

How wonderful! Just think how much money you save by making this easy replacement for the expensive store bought product.

I hadn't thought of making homemade Gatorade before. Thanks for the tip on my website about identity theft. You can never be too careful.

Thank-you Stacy. This is a neat find !
I think the only time I would use this when one of my kids is dehydrated and need the balance. Orrr Maybe when they are sick and need the balance.
What a money saver ! Thank you.

Great. My girls will love this. They are always asking for Gatorade, because the next door neighbor kids drink it. I had no idea what the ingredients were, because I've never bought it. We do keep Kool-Aid on hand - too much.
