Jun. 16, 2009 - Carpet Cleaner and an Insulated Bag

http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/Canadagirl/

Carpet Cleaner:

2 c. baking soda, 1/2 c. cornstarch, 1 T. cloves.  Sprinkle on carpet and leave overnight.  Vacuum in the morning.

With summer here, I thought I'd share a cheap tip for making an insulated bag for keeping your drink cold.

Insulated bag:

If you need a quick, inexpensive "insulated" bag, use a brown paper bag and add an inch of folded newspaper to the inside for the insulation.

I like your cooler idea! We always have old flyers lying around, and I'm sure the children will appreciate COLD water when they are out.

I will have to try this. With the high humidy and all the pets the carpet gets smelly this time of year. We have mostly hardwood floors but carpet upstairs.

Those are real neat tips ! I don't have carpet any more but I wish I had known about that years earlier. I will for sure remember the cheap cooler bag idea ! That is soooooo neat.
