Posted in Our family

Things are coming along well at work.  I am actually processing patients on the computer now, so that helps make time go by quickly.  The flip side of it is that when I am home, I rarely want to be on the computer.    I basically check email and post occasionally on my blog, but that is about it.

I got to meet the coroner this week.  He is a very nice man.  Unfortunately, he is way too busy in his line of work.  He did comment that he believes he hasn't seen the worst of it.  We know the nightly news tells us things are getting better for our nation, economically speaking.  However, in this city, we are still in a deep depression (not a recession), and many of us feel it will get MUCH worse before it gets better.  Because of the stress of these difficult times, we are seeing many more suicides than we used to in this town.  And that doesn't even cover the numerous deaths due to accidental drug overdoses.

I will be working 7-3 through the month of June.  It is nice to get off work and still have several hours of daylight.

Things here at home are going pretty smoothly.  The real test will be when school officially starts up again and dd has to do several subjects a day w/o me being here with her.  Right now, she is doing home ec and health.  Hopefully, she can manage to get those completed by the end of summer so her course load won't be so heavy this fall.

Dh isn't getting any work.  Unfortunately, I think it is time to close his business and find another profession.  That won't go over well because having his own business is something he has always wanted to do.  However, as I have stated over and over to our family, life in these difficult times is no longer about what we WANT to do, but what we NEED to do to survive.  There is a world of difference between the two.

It sounds like your work is going well. I am sooo happy for you.

I do hope your husband finds work. This is a very difficult time for him, but please, please, please for your sake and his, don't try to tell him what to do.
Even though it may be VERY hard not to....

Blessings and hugs,

Annie Kate
