This is a place for me to write about what we are doing in our homeschooling. I may add more than just homeschooling stuff, but for the most part ..... this is a glimpse into our homeschooling life.

Yesterday, Don and I took the kids to an Art Show - it was at the town where we both used to live. We had a really good time, checking out all the different types of art that was displayed - silly me, I forgot to bring my camera with me *shaking head*.
Looking at all the displays really got Charlotte thinking about how she can add different elements to her artwork (there was one painting that had pictures from magazines and an entry from a dictionary in it). Another one that really got her thinking was a painting that was done on a leaf - it looked really neat and I could definitely see the wheels turning in Charlotte's head as she studied that one.
A lot of the paintings were for sale - which also got the kids thinking, lol. A couple of them that caught our eye were (1) a set of three paintings that made up one when they were side by side (2) a small painting of a couple of apples (3) 2 paintings, one was of a Common Red Poll and the other was of a Nuthatch - these ones caught our eye because these were birds that we had been seeing at our feeder .... the artist did a very good job of accurately painting them.
While we were at the Art Show, we saw Don's Mom - the kids went over and gave her a big hug and after we had finished touring the show, we took her out for coffee. After we had finished having coffee with Don's Mom we headed over to my Mom's - she had a couple of things that she needed us to do and I needed to get some mittens felted (win/win situation, lol)
