First Day of School
I'm almost ashamed to see how long it's taken me to post! Not only am I a "joyful mama" but I'm a "busy mama" as well. We have officially started our first day of school, as of Aug. 6th. I wasn't planning on starting until the 13th, but around 5:30pm on Aug. 5th, my precious angels asked me, "Mommy, can we make tomorrow our first day of school?" Who was I to say no to their desire to learn? LOL All I can say is that the first two days have been good, but slightly hectic. Trying to get a 5yo. and a 9yo settled in with their work, while chasing the 22 month old and taking breaks to breastfeed the 4 month old wears me out! I'm so happy to rest in the afternoon when the little guys are napping.  We had a fun weekend. My DH was going to a meeting in Albuquerque, so the rest of us tagged along. My MIL and sister live there, along with my cousin and her kiddos. We had a blast! We went to the Rio Grande Zoo, took the kids to Peter Piper Pizza, and had a great BBQ with our friends. I'm almost out of battery power on this computer, so I'm off for awhile. When I get this Powerbook recharged, and have more time later, I'll have to give you all more updates on our trip to Albuquerque. My husband's friend has the sweetest wife, and I just think she's great. You'll have to check out her blog...Holy Mama! She's lots of fun, and her kids are way too cute. Blessings until next time! |
