I Will Worship in the Waiting

I am sitting here feeling so blessed!  I just heard a song by FFH called "Worship in the Waiting."  It touched my heart so much.  As I listened to the lyrics, several things came to mind.

I recalled the anguish my husband and I felt as we realized month after month, for seven years, that parenthood was going to allude us for what seemed like an eternity.  I remembered the roller coaster ride our family survived when our son, Matthew, was born prematurely and was fighting for each breath in NICU.  My heart ached as I thought about the day I learned my mother did indeed have breast cancer.  I had tears streaming down my cheeks as I reflected upon the just-recent and joyful adoption of my nephew, Jonah.  My sister and her husband went through so much before he blessed their home with his life.

I was thinking about how I can choose to worship God each day, even through the bad times, because He sees right past today and all the way to eternity.  He knows what's best, and He always works on His time.  I think that's one of the most important lessons I've learned so far.  That knowledge makes me feel secure, knowing that He's got every situation under control.  And that each one of us is so special to HIm, that He takes the time to work out the little details in our life ~ on His time ~ for His glory ~ and  to bless us.  He truly is an amazing God.

I'm dedicating this blog post especially to my brother-in-law, Tim and his sweet wife, Christine.  God sees you, He knows your ache, and I can promise you that He'll work all things out for you.

What ever the problem is, Karla is correct, God in His good time will bless you and joy will overflow where once there was sadness.
