Matthew's Kindergarten Graduation
My sweet little guy Matthew graduated from Kindergarten the other day. I can't believe how much he's grown! There were four homeschool families who participated in our Kindergarten graduation ceremony. The kids wore blue caps and gowns, complete with tassles. Each mom presented her child with a diploma, certificates of accomplishments, and a trophy. One of the moms even downloaded "Pomp and Circumstance" on her iPod and played it on a stereo as the kids walked into the room.
We held the ceremony at Incredible Pizza Company. The kids had a blast! It really is a fun place to eat and play.
Here are some pictures from our memorable day.
Here's Matthew getting ready to receive his diploma. Isn't he cute?

Here I am giving him his diploma and certificates from Herbert Christian Academy. Ian was busy trying to figure out why Mommy was choked up as I spoke. We honored him for his excellence in reading, excellence in math, and improvement in handwriting.

Here's a very happy 5 year old with his even prouder Daddy.

We sure do love you, Matthew! We are so proud of your hard work this year. It was your first year to be at home with us for homeschool, and you did an excellent job in Kindergarten. I can't wait to see how much you grow and learn next year in 1st grade. You truly are a gift from God.
