Hello Remnants of Dolly
Hurricane Dolly has swung it's way up and is now causing torrential rain in El Paso, TX!  We've had almost 5 inches in the past 2 days.  This evening it started raining again, hard, and flooded our yard again.

Thomas bought a pump the other day that can remove 350 gallons of water per hour.  We estimated that approximately 1000 gallons was removed from our back porch.   We just turned the pump on again to remove the water that dumped from the sky in less than 20 minutes.  It's still making it's chug-a-chug slurping sounds.

I was playing around with Smilebox to post some pictures from our back yard.  I don't know how this will turn out, but it was fun to try.  If I get good at using Smilebox I may just blog more often!

The photos are from the first day it flooded.  My backyard and porch were getting close to flood levels.  The second photo is the pump, held down with a sandbag to keep it from floating away, showing the water level at my door stoop.  We were literally minutes away from the water coming in our house.

Enjoy the pictures, and know that I truly appreciate what Noah did when he built the ark and survived 40 days of torrential rains.

I don't have a lot of experience with flooding, but since we moved to FL the year all 4 hurricanes hit, I do have a little experience with those!

Hope your drying out soon! What a blessing that pump is!!
