I saw this at Yarn Goddess and thought it looked like fun. I went to the website that she said she got it from, which is Whimsical Knitting . I am copying her text so I get it right.
"It’s the Pay It Forward Exchange. It’s based on the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward” where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness are passed on. You all know I’m already a PIF type of person. So here’s how it works. I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won’t be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months) and that’s a promise! What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.
I will now Pay It Forward to you THREE, I wonder who you will be?!
Please, be a PIF!"
I signed up on Yarn Goddess as one of her three people. In return, I have promised to make a gift for the first three people who leave a comment on this blog. Those people, in return, then have to post on their blogs what I have just posted here and make a gift for the first three people who leave a comment on their blogs. It will just keep growing and going around. I thought it sounded terrific, so here it is! Please consider doing this. Your gifts for the people who comment on your blog do not have to be big or elaborate, but they do have to be hand-crafted and made with love. That's it! If you choose to do this, please go over to Whimsical Knitting and take one of the buttons for your blog so people know you're participating. Thank you in advance! Oh... and please be sure to leave your e-mail address (or send it to me), so I have a way of communicating with you.
What a precious idea! I hope that you inspire many others. I like your blog a lot. My oldest daughter has been asked to learn to knit socks by her uncle, so I will send her to your blog for ideas and inspiration!

I am a homeschool mom with 6 wonderful children. We live in the High Desert in California. After spending 10 years on active duty with the Navy the Lord has blessed me with the opportunity to be at home with my children and school them. We have been blessed with many homeschool families that live around us. They have all been an encouragement and blessing to me.
The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing; but in our culture, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture."
