Thank you all for your encouraging words. I am feeling better today. I do think I pushed myself a little too much yesterday, because I woke up today with a headache and feeling a little weak. But after breakfast I started feeling better. Then I saw the weather for our area and that we were in for a real cold snap this afternoon. So the kids and I bundled up and went out this morning before the temperatures started dropping. We were having problems with the Jeep a bit, but thankfully, it's ok now. Paul was driving it the other night and it stalled on him in the middle of traffic. He had a hard time getting it started again, but did make it home o.k. Then this morning when I tried to start it to go shopping, it wouldn't stay started if I took my foot off the gas pedal. So I had to sit there for about 5 minutes, then it finally stay started. We realized that because I had let the gas tank get so low, it was practically empty, that ice crystals had probably formed in the gas line. Thankfully they got worked out, I put some heet into it, and filled up the gas tank. We hadn't been filling up the gas tanks in our vehicles because of our finances, but truthfully we know better. Out here with the bitterly cold weather we know better than to let our gas tanks get below half a tank, but we had been lax on it. But not anymore, I filled up the tank today and it's running fine. Thank You Lord.
We got all our shopping done and then the rest of the day I just relaxed. The kids and I took another day off of school. We were suppose to go out tonight to a friends house for dinner, but we decided not to. Just to rest up a little more. So far no one else in the family has felt sick, thank You Lord. Other than that, not much else is going on today. We got some more snow, just a little. But like I said, the temperatures are dropping. We'll see how tomorrow's weather is. I think it's calling for a cold and snowy day. I just don't like the bitter cold. Of course the kids love playing in the snow cold or not.
OK, I'm off to get caught up on all of your blogs. I hope you have a good rest of the evening.
Yes, PTL that the Jeep is OK. That would not be a fun expense right now for you! I am glad you are feeling OK. I over did it myself today and feel a little worn down again, so I called my mom and asked if I can do her floors on Monday instead of my normal Saturday. We are supposed to be getting 6-8 inches of snow this weekend. I want to just stay home and not leave until church on Sunday. I would not go if it wasn't for the Christmas program being this weekend!!! We are going to bake cookies for the program and then relax tomorrow. I hope you have a great weekend and that no one else gets sick.

Hi JoAnn, I am so glad you are feeling better. Unfortunately one of my soldiers is down and out due to illness. I am soooo hoping no one else gets it. Josh has been sick for days with the inability to keep anything down. Poor fellow. i would rather have my own self in a bubble to keep from getting this illness. Hey, we are expected to get the bomb of a snow storm (read: way excited here! I mean wayyy giddy!). It is supposed to give us up to a foot -maybe. It never seems like enough for me though. It is always to have the "excuse" of to much snow to be able to get out. We have to stay in. Ahhh. Anyway, enjoy your storm! Tammy, reelmom
I'm so glad you're feeling better! Also glad your car is ok. I've had that happen to me before, too. Now, I almost panick when the I hear the gas bell ping at me.
I don't care for the bitter cold & wind either, but I don't mind the snow. We're supposed to get another 6-12 inches this weekend! Guess I'll stay home! Holly
Hi JoAnn-those treats on my blog are made w' Snyder's Snaps pretzels on the bottom, place hershey kiss (the hugs kinds are really nice to use, too). Place in oven on 170 for about 5 mins-give or take depending on oven. Take out of oven and press M& Ms on top. Put in fridge to harden up.
Hope you like 'em! Holly
I had some catching up to do on your blog!! These last few weeks have been a bit crazy for me, and I wanted to wait until I could focus on them. So, I'm a little behind. Sorry. I'm really glad you are feeling better. I've been under the weather some too. LO has had a cold and I have a touch of it too. I am so happy for you that you have found a few groups that you are comfortable with. I know you have been longing for that for a while now. It's great that you are already making friends in the group and that your children are enjoying themselves. I am really happy for you.
This blog is so I can share my journey with the Lord, my journey as a wife and mother, and my journey as a homeschool mom. I pray that you will see the Lord in my life through happy and sad times, and that this blog glorifies the Lord.
This is an award and tag free zone, thank you.
