Sarah and I finished the last of the cookies today, snickerdoodles. They turned out better than I thought they would. I now have the afternoon to do whatever I want. And the issue? I can't figure out what to do. I was going to play with my template, I've been wanting to play with it again, but I can't decide what I want to do. I have gotten all caught up on reading blogs. I guess I should work on my scarf, which is probably what I'll start doing. Paulie's playing Wii right now, maybe I'll put a Christmas movie in after he's done. After he's done, that's a funny statement. That boy would never be done if we allowed him too. A better way to say it is, maybe I'll put a movie in when I tell him he's done. Sarah is playing on the computer. Yep, you can tell by what we are doing, that we are on Christmas break.
Oh, I forgot to mention that Tuesday night's woman's bible study went great. The ladies welcomed me, by name. Asked some more questions about why we moved out here, etc... I even spoke during the discussion time on the bible study. I truly felt welcomed and had a good time. We are off for two weeks, and then we'll start meeting again on the 8th. We have about 2 or 3 more weeks left in the study we are doing, then they are thinking of doing a DVD series. I'm a little bummed about that. If they start that, I might try a different group. I don't mind DVD series, and this one is just fine, I just don't know if I want to go out every Tuesday to watch a DVD then have a discussion afterward. I like reading the book during the week and answering questions and such. So we'll see. I'll pray about it and see what happens.
Oh, I know something else I could do today, read the fourth book in the Anne of Green Gables series. I don't think I ever mentioned it, but a dear friend of mine sent me the whole book series for a house warming gift. I was so completely blessed by it. It was kind of funny, because it came shortly after we moved in. I was still getting mail for the other people who had lived here, and I just assumed it was for them. Sarah runs out and gets it and says it has my name on it. Really? I was a little worried about opening it, because I didn't want to have to 'owe' a store if I opened a box that I didn't order. But I opened it, and it was a nicely wrapped gift with a card saying it was from my friend. When I opened it, Sarah and I both got so excited. She's about 1 1/2 books behind me in the series, so she is excited too to have them. I haven't had a chance to read them much lately with all the Christmas things I've been doing, so I guess now is the time.
Well, the cookies I've made are starting to 'call' to me, I'm going to go have a snack.
Baking... we did some today, too. We still have one more batch of cookies to make Saturday - it's traditional. Fun!
I'm finding it hard to get around and say hello to all my friends. Please forgive me if I don't say hello every day - I do stop and read though. Have a great weekend!
Yea for being done with the baking! Yea for packages in the mail that we don't have to pay for! Yea for Bible study! There were just too many good things in your post not to cheer about.

I am glad you finished your baking and kept your sanity at the same time! I have called it quits, but the kids are begging me to make gingerbread. I think Mom will have to bring it from the bakery and we'll make some next week. I am done! Today is food shopping day. I dread spending the money, but it has to happen. Tomorrow I clean. Then Sunday is party number one here, Monday at Mom's, Tuesday back here! Oh boy! And I have been meaning to tell you that our co-op director offered me a sweet deal for the winter session and I said no! Are you proud of me or what? (lol)

This blog is so I can share my journey with the Lord, my journey as a wife and mother, and my journey as a homeschool mom. I pray that you will see the Lord in my life through happy and sad times, and that this blog glorifies the Lord.
This is an award and tag free zone, thank you.
