I was writing in my journal this morning, and when I wrote 2008, it was a little hard to believe. 2007 was quite a year for us, lots of good and lots of blessings. Some hard times, but thankfully not bad results. I look back on the last 6 months or so, and I realize how much we've done. The Lord has blessed us so much in 2007. Yes, we had some difficult times. Waiting for a doctor to call to tell me whether my husband has a tumor or not, was a very difficult time for me. But it was a blessing because there is no tumor. And truly, though there have been difficult times, the Lord has blessed me with beautiful friendships through my blogs. The Lord knew I needed my friends to help me through those times. Thank you Lord for my friends in blogland. Though I might never meet them face to face on this earth, I am so blessed to know them and I'm always thankful for their encouragement and kind words in my life.
We had a great time last night. We finally got together with our friends we have been trying to get together with for a while. It was fun. Paulie loved showing everyone, especially their 9yo boy, how to play Wii. They taught us a new board game, named Sequence. We played Uno Attacks, which is a new game the kids got from their grandma this Christmas. The kids watched a movie, and we all ate way to much food. We had a blessed time counting down to midnight together, and truly just getting to know each other better. Their little 6yo girl, Sarah, started hanging out with our Sarah. And our Sarah was very sweet with her. She doesn't have much opportunities to have interaction with such young girls, and it was fun to see her play with her. The weather was nice and clear, though cold. It was all around a great night.
Today we are being pretty lazy. We slept in pretty late, we've been munching on leftovers from last night, the kids are outside playing in the snow, and Paul and I are relaxing on the couch. I had originally planned on starting school again tomorrow, but I might wait until Thursday. I think I would like to have at least one real restful day before starting school. Then we'll have only two days and then a weekend to rest again before getting in to the full swing of it. I'll decide later tonight.
I hope everyone had a great and happy celebration last night. Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year my friend. I am really looking forward to catching up with you. I am having a lazy day too. [0= MIL is making a dinner for us tonight so that means no making dinner. ((beaming)) I pray that the Lord keeps blessing you and your family this coming year. ( I know he will !)
Blessings and ((hugs)) my sweet SSiC

I just love lazy days with my family. I am glad you had one with yours today. Tomorrow may come and I change my mind about going back to our lessons. I am babysitting, so I may need one less thing on my plate. But my hope is to at least get a little bit back on track tomorrow. 2007 was bitter sweet for me too. I could have done less with the bitter, but it is part of the sweet.

Sounds like a fun New Year's Eve. We are being lazy today too. We have more company coming tomorrow and DH has to go back to work, so we are fixin' to get busy and clean up the place (newspapers and dishes everywhere :0 !
I was just going to blog about Sequence. We got it for Christmas last year, but just got around to playing it and really like it. It works well for the whole family.
It has been wonderful getting to know you. I really hope we do get to meet one day IRL! It sounds like you had a wonderful evening, I hope that this new friendship will be great. What a wonderful way to start 2008!
Seeing how the Lord has blessed and protected you and provided over and over has been such a testimony of His goodness.
Thanks for sharing these blessings!
This blog is so I can share my journey with the Lord, my journey as a wife and mother, and my journey as a homeschool mom. I pray that you will see the Lord in my life through happy and sad times, and that this blog glorifies the Lord.
This is an award and tag free zone, thank you.
