~ Monday's this and that ~

Posted in Ramblings
My day has gone pretty good.  I usually try to do deep cleaning on Monday's, and today was no exception.  Though I truly didn't want to do anything today.  I was just too tired, and so were the kids.  But we pressed on.  We got our cleaning done and our lessons.    Plus I got a crock-pot of chili done, and we even did some of our read-aloud book.  So though my morning started out with me not even wanting to get out of bed, I think it ended with quite a bit accomplished.

Paul's work is getting busy, so overtime has started for him.  That is good for our finances, but we sure do miss him when he's gone so long.  He has to leave early and stay late.    But like I said, we try to remember what kind of blessing financially this is.  Plus, his 90 day review is going to happen either this week, or within a couple of weeks.  If you think about it, could you please keep him in prayer regarding his review and possible raise.  Thanks.

But that makes me realize that it's been 3 months since he's worked there and on the 16th, it will be 3 months since we've moved out here.    It's hard to believe it's been that long.  Sometimes it feels like we've just moved and other times it feels like we've been here a lot longer.  We are blessed to be here, and are continually thankful that the Lord has continued to guide us in the things He has for us.

We have officially joined the local homeschool group here.    I'm quite excited about that.  But there's a part of me that already feels overwhelmed at the options.  They have a play day every Tuesday afternoon, which is great.  I like the simple play days, though I don't know if we'll make it tomorrow or not.  I'll just have to see how it goes tomorrow.  But I do plan on trying to make it more often.  It's just taking the time to get to know everyone there.  Next Monday night is the monthly meeting, but with Paul's extra work schedule, I don't know if we will make it.  I'm not even sure if I'll make it to my woman's bible study tomorrow night.  Again, we'll just wait and see what time he gets home, and if I feel like rushing out the door after he is home or spending time with him.

So that is my update of my day.  I hope you all had a great day.

You got a lot more accomplished than I did! I'm feeling a little bit lethargic now that my company is gone (as of today) and it is time to get back to our routine.

Sounds like a very good and productive day! I will pray about Patl's review at work. Your new HS group sounds like it will be great!
My dh works a lot of late hours, so it's hard for me to get to any of the HS parent meetings, too.

I need to pic a day like that. Mondays is more a town day. Errands , Curling, (window shopping [0;). I walked up from the curling rink to the craft store. ( that was a good hike) I got some beads and some knitting needles. I got to look around for a hour ! Wow that was soooooo nice. Then walked down to a place like Starbucks and got a cafe' mocha. Then back down to the curling rink again. I was so refreshed. Okay... even when I don't get to talk to you I still need to tell you what I have done...lol. (((hugs)))

Blessings and ((hugs)) my SSiC

Has is really been 3 months? Time is flying. It's been 9 months since I moved, but like you, sometimes it seems longer or shorter! It took me 6 months to adjust to the move. You are doing great at 3!

I know the feeling of how overtime can financially be a blessing, but is also a downer b/c of missed family time. It's neat though, to see how God provides us with the overtime just when we seem to need it. Wow, I'm quite impressed with your deep cleaning. My house needs a serious overhaul. LOL. I have been lucky to just run a pledge wipe over all wood surfaces. Ashley even cleaned the bathroom the other day without my asking her too, if that tells ya how bad it's gotten. I'm just tired from work, but I hope to have even more energy after my surgery. Hope you all have a good rest of the week.

Love ya!
