We still have some vehicle issues, but things are a bit better. They never could find out why the gauges in the Jeep didn't work. So Paul took it to a place, they thought it might be electrical, which this particular place doesn't work on electrical. So he brought it home, it was getting late. When we talked about it a bit more, the Lord (I know it was Him because I'm not this smart) gave me the idea of turning on the heat in the Jeep and letting it blow on high on the 'feet' setting. After I had sprayed the Fabreeze, I left the doors open to air it out a bit. It was a beautiful, sunny day. But the Jeep was parked in the shade, and it was only 24 today. So the thought was, maybe something froze in there. So we left it heating for about 30 minutes. I go and check it, and it all looked the same. But as I was turning it off, one of the gauges moved a bit. So I immediately turned it back on and all the gauges moved! I was so happy, I started honking the horn to get Paul's attention. The only issue now is that the 'check engine' light is on. I told Paul I don't care right now. It's running fine. We'll get it looked at some time in the future, but I really need the Jeep on Monday, so this is such a blessing. Paul's truck, well that never did get fixed. We need to get it to a shop and get the radiator flushed and cleaned. But we probably won't get that done until Tuesday or so. My Monday is swamped, so that's why it will have to wait.
This is why I need the Jeep Monday and it's going to be so busy. My sister is getting her MRI done on Monday, and the kids and I are taking her. She'll be coming over tomorrow (Sunday) and spend the night here. The kids are so excited. I'm making a big pot roast dinner, and we are just going to enjoy having her here. Then we have to leave around 7:00am to get to the doctor's on time. Of course, I read that we will be getting a snow storm Sunday evening through Monday afternoon. But we have no choice, we'll be going down anyway. So now we might have to leave around 6:30am. I'm sure we are like most homeschoolers in saying, that is so early for us. I mean, we are scheduled, and we usually get our days started by 9:30am. Paul and I are usually up around 6:30am and the kids around 7:00am. So it's not like we sleep in real late. But to get out the door at the time we are normally waking up, ugh. It will be hard, but we will do it. We'll go to bed early tomorrow night, and make sure everything is packed up and ready to go tomorrow, so we can just pack it in the Jeep Monday. We'll bring our breakfast, and of course books, some school work, some toys, and my camera. I'll share some pictures that my sister says is o.k. So I'm not sure how much I'll be in blogland the next couple of days. I'll let you know how things go. I don't we'll know the results from the MRI on Monday, we'll see. If you think of me on Monday, please keep me in prayer. Between the early time, and mostly, the possiblity of a snow storm, any prayers would be appreciated.
OK, its late. The past few days this has been the only time I have a chance to blog, but I get tired quickly, like I am tonight. I hope you all had a great day, and have a great rest of the weekend.
I pray everything goes smoothly. When LO had his MRI, I'm pretty sure we had to wait for someone to read it. I know that waiting is torturous!! I'm sorry to hear about your vehicles. I pray it all works out. With your weather and money issues, I'm sure this is not real easy for you. I hope you enjoy the time with your sister tomorrow and I pray you have a safe trip to the hospital.
I know the dread of taking a vehicle to the shop. My van is making a noise and I am not wanting to find out how much it will cost. I will pray for your busy Monday also.

Glad to hear that your vehicle issues are better. And prayers go with you as you venture out in the snow and for your sister. Thanks for all your support and comments for my son. It was so wonderful to have so much support.
I didn't get your request for the Prayer Request Sunday post... but I'm praying for you any way. I will continue to do so until we hear back from you :)
I am sorry about your car troubles. We have had our share in the past then we sold our old Honda and learned how to live with one car. Not an easy thing at all, but like I said one car is better than no car. We are praying for you guys. Let us know how your brother and sisters are doing.
((((Brazilian hugs))))

I'm glad to hear the Jeep issues are resolved! :) Our check engine light comes on all the time, and it never means anything serious. Sometimes it just has to be reset.
I hope everything went well with the MRI.
This blog is so I can share my journey with the Lord, my journey as a wife and mother, and my journey as a homeschool mom. I pray that you will see the Lord in my life through happy and sad times, and that this blog glorifies the Lord.
This is an award and tag free zone, thank you.
