~ My Super Bowl Sunday Weekend Ramblings ~

Posted in Ramblings
We had a great day yesterday.  We ran some errands when we first went out, then went and got some fast food.  We weren't sure of the libraries hours, so we didn't know if it was still open, but was pleasantly surprised when we got there that it was open.  And it was busy too, busier than when we go during the week.  Paul got his library card, and we all picked out a stack of books.  It was great to just look around the library a bit more than usual, because we had some more time.

After that we went to Barnes and Noble and browsed around and of course got ourself some Starbucks coffee.  Paul got himself a new CD and he bought me a book by Oswald Chambers, Conformed to His Image, The Servant as His Lord.  I haven't started it yet, but it looks good.

We then went to the store and picked up the makings for munchies for today's Super Bowl.  We got home in time to have some dinner before church.  The church service was awesome.  We haven't made it to church in a while, and it was such a blessing.  The worship was awesome, and the message was seemed to be preached just for us.  So all around we had a great day.

Today has been mellow, watching Super Bowl pre-game stuff.  I made all of the munchies yesterday, so I've had a pretty relaxed day.  Paul and I have had time to have quite a few good talks, which I always enjoy.  We seem to be heading into another new season in our lives, and it's always a little scary yet exciting to see where the Lord is going to lead us.

Though it wasn't originally planned, a friend has decided to come over and watch the game with us.    All I have to do is set up what I made last night, pretty easy.  And truthfully, I keep going back and forth on who I'm going for.  Paul is going for the New York Giants, they are the under-dog.  I keep going back and forth.  I like the Giants a lot.  They are the under-dog and I do like the Manning family.  I think it would be great if both brothers had super-bowl rings.  But we could be watching football history if New England Patriots win.  They haven't lost a single game all year!  What a season to win every single game they play.  Because I'm such a football fan, I like the aspect of watching a game where a team could be the first team in history to never loose a game.  But I like the Giants a bit better.  So we'll see.  It will still be a loud game, because that's just how we are when watching the Super Bowl.

I guess that's about it for today.  I hope you've all had a great weekend.

I am so glad you had fun. What did you have at Starbucks? I am in withdrawal since my gift cards from Christmas ran out. :-) I have to root for the Manning family being from his big brothers home! And those New England guys have stomped on us one too many times! I don't feel very loving towards my enemy. I need to pray before the game!

Was that a great game or what!? I had feelings quite similar to yours on who I wanted to win, but I was definitely decided on the Giants - woo hoo!

Well we were rooting for the Giants too, because they were the Under Dog.

Glad to year you had a good day. We did too as out of town friends came for the weekend and we stayed up playing games. Had an enjoyable time worshipping together as well.

Glad to hear all is good with you.
