OK, first, HSB is acting goofy tonight, is anyone else having problems? At least I got in and I can post this entry. Of course I will make sure I copy it first, just in case.
We've had a good, productive day. We started out early and got the cleaning done in a good time frame. The kids started their lessons, and they finished in good time. We set up some new consequences for the whining and complaining that has been going on here. It was getting a bit out of control, and it needed to be nipped in the bud, now. So Paul and I talked about it and came up with a good list of consequences for different things. We have implemented them already, and we are seeing some fruit from it. But, it is only the first day, I pray it continues to go well.
We had a beautifully sunny day, and things are slowly melting. Sarah even got to ride her bike a bit in the driveway. It was funny, she was out in the driveway with her friend from across the street. Like I've said before our driveway connects with our neighbor's driveway (the one with the house for sale). So these people show up at the house, I'm guessing they were showing the house to potential buyers. It looked like a older couple. The girls were outside and the neighborhood cat came around. Now, it must be said, this cat, when we first moved here, went into our garage and then into our house and onto our kitchen table because I had left the door open for about 5 minutes! Oh, believe me, that cat was lucky it got out of the house before I could catch it. So, anyway, back to today. The girls know if this cat comes around they are suppose to chase it out of our garage. Over the months, they have gotten louder and louder doing this. So today the cat comes, only on the side of the garage, but they are faithful at scaring it away. So I hear these loud, and I'm talking LOUD, screams. I jump to the door to make sure they are o.k., and they are laughing saying it's the cat again. So after giving Sarah the 'look' (the one that means, don't ever yell like that again unless you are hurt), I realized the people are still looking at the house next door. So I guess we'll see if the girls scared them away.
Other than that not a whole lot happened today. I hope you all had a great day.
I'm telling ya, once a cat adopts you, you can't get rid of it. Case and point, Stacie. She thinks she rules the place. I keep telling my daughter that it's just a cat and she can easily survive outside as she lounges inside. I keep getting over ruled.
I understand about the whinning. You get all six of them going here and I'm ready for my own apartment. Luckily the kids are going to the symphony tonight. Aaah peace and quiet.

This blog is so I can share my journey with the Lord, my journey as a wife and mother, and my journey as a homeschool mom. I pray that you will see the Lord in my life through happy and sad times, and that this blog glorifies the Lord.
This is an award and tag free zone, thank you.
