We had a great night last night. We went to friends house for dinner, it was fun. They made hamburgers and fries, and I brought a pudding/graham cracker dessert. None of the food lasted long. The kids had a great time, especially Paulie. This is his first real friend out here, and he is enjoying it all so much. Sarah does good with their girl, even though she's only 6 or 7. It was good fellowship, and it's good to get to know them a little more each time.
Today has started out, and will probably continue to be a lazy day. But here is an exciting part for me, it's raining outside. I know some of you may wonder why I'm excited about rain. It's because its not snow. And this rain will help the snow to melt. Plus, back in the other town we lived in we were higher up in the mountains, so we wouldn't start getting weather like this for another month or so. It's so refreshing to be in the 40's and getting rain, instead of the 20's with snow. I guess, though we live in the Northwest, I'm not a real snow/winter person. I like it for a bit, but not all the time. We don't ski or do any winter sports like that, though we do like to watch them.
My sisters procedure yesterday went good. Thank you for all your prayers. The doctor did touch a bone with the needle which hurt for a bit. And yesterday she was pretty out of it and hurting most of the day. But today a pain she has had in her back from a fall she had in the beginning of winter is gone. She sounded so happy about that today. She's trying not to over due it, since she feels so good today. Her son is home for the weekend, so he's watching her and making sure she rests. She has exercises and things she needs to do, but so far its going good. I pray that it continues.
Today we'll be relaxing at home, enjoying the rain outside and watching some pre-season baseball. Then we'll go to church tonight. I hope everyone has a great, blessed weekend.
I am glad things went well with you sister. It is raining here too. We are thinking by the end of March there will not be any more snow. That would be good. B/c by the time my MIL comes home from her trip then maybe our temp. water system will be flowing again. That would be nice. [0= I hope you see all the good things you are getting done. I am trying to be good at keeping the house. I rather be playing with colour in one way or another instead. lol
Oh, I am so glad that you are having a relaxing weekend! Your time with friends sounds great too. And I am doing a happy dance myself because the grip of winter is loosening here too! It is going to rain over night, but that is better than snow! :-) And we go the vehicle and it is a total blessing! My husband will drive it to work tomorrow!

Hi JoAnn, I have to confess that even though we have enjoyed the winter and all of the skiing we did, I too am ready for the warmth and sunshine of spring. Honestly my favorite season is spring. I love the flowers blossoming and the trees getting their leaves. The newness is wonderful. I hope you all have a really great week. Tammy
For me, the joy of living in th e northwest is that we have four seasons. Just about the time I am really done with snow (and this year I am really done) it turns to spring, etc. I love the four seasons! I am really excited for spring this year. We are going to plant a garden. My hubby even bought seeds the other day. Soon we will begin with some inside plantings. It's going to be fun!
I'm glad your sister is doing well. I have been crazy busy and feel lost. I just wanted to check in and say hi. I hope you have an awesome week.
Hugs,
Christy
Glad you are doing well.
It was 55 here yesterday and we lost most of our snow. Then it rained, which I enjoyed, but it turned to freezing rain then snow last night when the temp dropped. :( My heart aches for spring, this has been a rough winter and I don't even live in the north.

This blog is so I can share my journey with the Lord, my journey as a wife and mother, and my journey as a homeschool mom. I pray that you will see the Lord in my life through happy and sad times, and that this blog glorifies the Lord.
