It was a fun day today. Today is our homeschool playgroup, which we have never made yet. I've been planning to go for the past few weeks, but each week something happens and we don't get to go. And today was no different. I didn't feel well last night, and didn't sleep well at all. I kept waking up every couple of hours, and I was quite tired today. To sit in some rec. center while kids are screaming and running around, being tired and not feeling well, was not my idea of fun today. We'll try again next week.
So what was my fun today? I found a school supply store!! I had one I really liked in Illinois. I like specific school supply stores. You can find maps, learning games, books and this and that at these kind of stores. I hadn't really even thought of looking for one out here, until today. I was making my list of school things we needed, and there were some things I needed for Paulie to help him with the physical act of his writing. I decided to search the yellow pages and see if there was any stores out here, and the only one that I found is about 8 minutes from our house. How great is that. The kids and I loaded up into the car and headed out after we finished lunch. Goodness, I spent about an hour there. I found just about everything I needed too. There was only one thing I couldn't find. Oh, when I walked through these stores I want to buy so many things. But I was good, and I only bought one extra thing, but it will help Paulie with his math, so it should be o.k. After that we went to Wal-mart, and I finished picking up the last few items I needed. We came home and the kids finished their lessons.

I'm feeling better, though I'm extremely tired now. I will be in bed early tonight I'm sure. I hope you are all doing well.
What a blessing. I enjoy school supply stores though I don't often get to go. When I do I love to just browse as long as I can. Trying to get out without buying "extras"....well that's a little hard. :-)

I love to browse in educational supply stores with Jenn and the kids. Even though I do not teach I like to see what is available and usually buy something that the little ones can use when they are at my home. Glad that you had a good day!!!
