Sarah's cold, though it isn't horrible, hasn't gotten much better, so we didn't go to homeschool playgroup today. Sarah and Paulie were quite bummed, but they both knew it was the right choice. It's great now that they are older and can reason and understand why we don't do things sometimes.
Because of the colds floating around here we had to head to the store for some medicine. The kids asked, practically begged, if we could go to the library. And what was most impressive is Paulie asked first. He hardly ever wants to go, so how could I turn that down? While we were at the store, before going to the library Paul called me, aka the Principal, and suggested we have half a day of school today. I'm not going to turn that idea down. We are suppose to submit to our husbands, right? That made the time at the library all that more fun because we weren't real rushed. Paulie is really into Charlie Brown books, and even though our library doesn't have that many of them, he likes to check out his favorites. Sarah, well she has a few series she's allowed to read, and picked out about 3 books from them. She's never at a loss for books from the library.
And what did I get? I got some crocheting books and graphic design books. I'm trying my hand at filet crochet and I wanted some more ideas. And then I figured that with my graphic/artistic woes that maybe the graphic design books my give me some ideas. Sally gave me some great sites about matching colors, and I just have to share. Colorblender, though I haven't used it much, I really liked this site. You can put in a color, and it will bring up colors that go well with it. Color Palette Generator will match colors to a picture you upload, how cool is that. I did make a new graphic I will share. Nothing big, but to show I am trying. Here it is,
I guess that is it. I hope you all have a blessed rest of the day and a great evening.
Hello Dear,
I've been thinking about you and wanting to come visit but have been woefully behind (blush). Thank you for the sweet comment about the water bottles. Very nice graphic!!! Someday I might like to learn how to do that too, but not today. :) Glad to hear your son is getting into books! Peanuts is always fun!
Prayers for the kids. Hope they feel better soon. Your graphic is great. I think it is a lot of trial and error. I want a program like that. Which one did you get? How bad expensive and where?
Hugs,
Christy

I am glad you were able to go to the library. You know how I love mine. (I am going tomorrow, btw.) The graphic you made is neat. I need a book about PSP to be written, PSP for Idiots and Dummies!

I hope you all feel better soon and Spring brings you warmth and Sunshine!
It sounds like you had a lovely day at the library. (It's one of my favorite places, too.) I'm going to have to go check out the palette color generator as my blog needs a face lift and I don't feel creative today.
Sorry, I guess I should have read this post before asking you for the links. I think you did really great with your graphic. I have so much to learn but I truly love doing this. (-:

This blog is so I can share my journey with the Lord, my journey as a wife and mother, and my journey as a homeschool mom. I pray that you will see the Lord in my life through happy and sad times, and that this blog glorifies the Lord.
This is an award and tag free zone, thank you.
