We have been having a great spring break. Monday we cleaned, then we had the rest of the day to play. The weather is getting nice, and the neighborhood kids are on break too. So they got to play a bit in the morning with them, something they don't normally get to do. Today I made muffins, while we set up some things on the computer for the kids. It was homeschool playgroup today, and the kids and I went, only to find out later it had been canceled. I didn't check my email before we left, and they had sent an email saying it was canceled. But there was another mom with her two daughters that didn't know either, so we got to sit and chat a bit. That was nice, and we got to know each other more. We had some errands to run afterward, then came home in time to make dinner.
The Lord blessed us again today with our finances. Things have been going good, but the trip over the weekend, with the gas prices, it made things tight. I was realizing today, when I was going over the budget in my mind, we were about $40 short. What did we get in the mail today? A refund check from our old electric company for $48.18. Isn't the Lord awesome. I just love how He's been blessing us and it confirmed, for me, that this past weekend was something He wanted us to do. It was a blessing to my family, and a great time together. Thank you Lord for being our Provider.
I've been working on a filet crochet project, and I haven't yet found a pattern that I can follow. The charts aren't making sense to me. So I've started and stopped about 3 different projects. I have finally found a pattern that is working for me. It's a bookmark, and it's nice looking. Sarah wanted to try one, so I started showing her how to do it. The hardest part for her is reading the directions. Maybe the chart ones would be easier for her, we'll see how she does with this one. When I get one finished I'll post pictures about it.
That's about it. Nothing much planned this week. That's the way I like my spring breaks. I do have my woman's bible study on Thursday night, and I have to get out and do some birthday shopping. Paulie's birthday is in 20 days, so I need to get out soon. But we are getting him a bike, and truly, I don't know where to hide it once we get it. Yet, I don't want to put it off to long because then it might be sold out. So I don't know exactly when to go. There are a few things I can get that aren't that big, I should probably go and get them at least. My baby is going to be 11yo, it's hard to believe sometimes. But he's my big boy and I'm proud of him. Have a blessed night.
Enjoy your break! I am still praying about taking one or not. And what a blessing that the Lord provided just what you needed. He always does, but I find myself sinning at times with worry that He won't. (Shame on me!)

Hey JoAnn,
I sent Norm and the older kids up the the Museum up by you for the Pharaoh Exhibit. If you haven't been there yet it's pretty neat. There is a Teacher's packet you can print off their web site.
Glad to hear things are going well for you!
Much love,
jaimers
