Well, I decided to try to put another entry out today, and I typed a real good one with pictures and everything. I decided to try photobucket again, and even went so far as to try a slideshow. But photobucket locked up my browser, and now my whole entry is gone. So lets see if I can remember what I had said before.
It feels weird to put another entry out, it seems so soon since I just typed one late last night. I'm not sure if I have much to share. But you know me, I'm not usually at a loss for words.
Today I worked on putting screens on 3 of our windows, and created a fourth frame from scratch. The ones where the frames were already made was pretty easy, but I've never like making my own frames. I'm not real good with measuring and cutting. I had to cut the frame about 4 times because it was too big. Then by the time I was done, it was a little too small , but it works o.k. It's good to have them done because we are suppose to get up to the 50's by the end of this week. That's a heatwave out here, and I want to be able to open our windows.
We did the new schedule again today, and it seemed to work well. The new schedule really helped with having to put the screens together. The kids are outside now playing, getting some fresh air and exercise. That's what I like about this new way.
Yesterday I told you about my attempt to make cinnamon rolls from scratch. I used my bread maker to make the dough, but I'm not real good at rolling out dough. By the time I had it rolled out right, I had rolled it about 3 times. I think that made it too chewy. I made it too big, so it was hard to taste the cinnamon sugar mixture. I needed to make the dough smaller or more cinnamon sugar mixture. And the last thing that happened was I almost burned them. It said to cook them for 25-30 minutes, I set the timer for 25, and by about 20 minutes I smelled them over baking. I pulled them out of the oven, but they were already way over done. So I want to try them again soon to see if I can make them better. But my family, being the best, loved them anyway and gobbled them up. There is only one left. Here are the pictures, but I'm simply posting them, no slideshow.
Before baking After way to much baking
Well, I'm not sure if that's everything I typed before, but it's all I can remember. I want to try and get to some blogs to read and leave comments. Have a blessed day.
Those actually look pretty good. One thing I always do with mine is make more of the cinnamon sugar mixture and spread some on top so you can taste it.
Great now I want cinnamon rolls!!!!
jaimers~
Oh one last thing Norm applied for a job with the IRS office in your town. Pray he gets accepted please. I think he would really like doing that job (investigative).
Those look yummy. I'm glad you retyped your post or we would have missed out!
I'm also impressed that you are making your own screens. I've never done that.
I am so glad to hear the new schedule is going well. Your rolls turned out beautiful, just the way I like it. I much prefer mine a little over done than almost not done ;)
We need to star calling you JoAnn, the tool woman LOL.
We are finally getting warmer weather too.

Your cinnamon rolls look absolutley yummy! Our oven died, and so I am trying to work on menus without roasting or baking - which is how I prefer to cook dinner.
