The only 'pain' I feel is from the abscess I had. I don't think I mentioned that last time. After he took my top tooth out, which is the one that I had an infection behind and what started all of this, he found I had an abscess. The bottom tooth he took out was a wisdom tooth, and had to go because the top one was now gone and it had nothing to hit when I chewed. So I'm still on antibiotics, plus I'm rinsing my mouth with a prescription mouth wash, that is helping. The bottom tooth area feels fine, I have no pain from that one, just the abscess part. But I slept through the night, and only woke up with minimal pain. After I took a couple of regular ibuprofen, I felt great. Just a pinch every once and a while from the stitch too. I'm so blessed and thankful that it's not continuing on today.
We didn't go to church last night so I could stay home and rest. Tonight is the first night of Woman's bible study, we are starting a new book, on joy. I really wanted to go, but was a bit worried with the pain yesterday. Today I'm doing better, so I plan on going. I'll probably take a nap here in a bit, make sure I'm resting, things like that.
I've been printing out pictures, and I'm going to put together the kids 07/08 school portfolio's. I might get them together today or tomorrow. Now that VBS is done, and my teeth are taken care of, it's pretty mellow around here. So I get to do some work on the school portfolio's, work on some crafts, read some books and do some online work. It feels nice to not have to rush out every morning and be on the 'run'. Though there is a part of me that misses it. But only a part of me.
I guess that's about it. Probably seems kind of boring in our lives right now, but it's nice. We really didn't want to be running all over the place just because it was summer. We wanted to be able to have some 'down' time and just go do things that are fun as a family. We plan on trying to get to the local single A ball park here in town, plus there's a carnival this weekend. Though I don't think we'll be making it to the carnival. With the money we just spent at the dentist, I just don't know that we have the money to go. It's a blessing that there are lots of beautiful sites around here which are free to see. Maybe we'll do a picnic soon and go on a hike. We haven't been on a hike in over a year, it would be fun. So no big plans this summer, just exploring and enjoying our new area. I hope you are all having a great summer so far.
I am glad that you are doing better . (((HUGS))) I know what you mean about liking a slower pace. I am trying when time allows to slow down. But life was just as busy when I got home. Friends from out of town. Then Noah is sick with the stomach flu. (not fun) We still have VBS, summer camps, and out of town guests still to go. But it is making me declutter and clean which is a good thing.
I hope to give you a ring next week. If that is good for you.
It's good to hear that all went well with your teeth.
That's great.
I am glad things are over for you and you will be feeling better.
Oh yeah enjoy the down time, goodness knows when you'll end up running again like a chicken. LOL
I do feel for you and your pain with the tooth. I have dealt with a few abscesses in the past and I know how very painful that can be. Even had the whole side of my face swell up due to one. Long ago but I still remember that pain. I pray God will continue to ease the soreness and healing to come quickly:-)
I love the slower pace of the summer too. We haven't any plans either, just spending a lot of time outside and in our pool which BTW- I am so thankful to God for. It's the cure for bored kids on a hot summer day. Thank You Jesus!!!
Well have a blessed weekend in Christ Jesus.
