Things are going good here. We went to a local carnival last night. It was a great time. It as a small carnival and only a few rides, but the kids really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the carnival food. I have a few pictures I'll share in a minute. After the carnival we went for a family drive and took some cool pictures. I didn't realize, but high up in the mountains about 15 minutes from us is windmills that produce energy. As funny as it might sound, these windmills were beautiful. The land up in those mountains was just gorgeous. We hadn't been up there, that far before, and we loved it. We are going to go farther next time, but we didn't have any water or snacks with us, so we didn't go too long. Around here, when you are up in the mountains, you want to make sure you have some food and water, just in case.
Today I am going to be reading my camera manual. Why, you ask, would I want to do that, because it was my first assignment from Hallie. She is giving a free Photography 101 class, giving tips, how to's etc... about photography. I've always had such an interest in photography, and I love taking pictures. I've always thought of taking a course on it, but never had the time or money. This seemed like lots of fun, so I've joined and already I'm learning new things. The first assignment was to actual read our camera's manual to learn what it can do. I tried something new last night when we were up in the mountains, and already I've noticed a difference in my photos. I'm not sure what I did, so I definitely need to read the manual, but whatever I did it was an improvement. So I am going to start using my other blog as my photo blog. I'll try to put a notice here when I update that blog, but I might not always remember. I'll try though.
OK, I'm off to read my manual and change the template of my other blog. I hope you are having a blessed day and weekend. Here are some pictures so far.
That's me on the Fanny Flyer. That is higher than it looks, and I was pretty nervous when I got to the top. But Paulie was with me, so I had to keep going. It was fun going down.
We talked Sarah into trying it with Paulie. Can you see her face? She really wasn't that scared.
The best ride in the park for the kids, the roller coaster. Paulie is so excited that he has now been on an actual roller coaster. The other photo is from the mountain looking toward our town.
And this was us having some fun. It looks like the windmill isn't that big, though they are huge.
Such nice pictures. Wow, they look fun, but I don't do very well on those kinds of high toys. ;(
I've seen those windmills, yes they are huge.
You are so good at reading and figuring things out, I can't wait now to see your photos on the other blog.
(((hugs)))

Ohhh It looks like you all had sooooooooooooo much fun. I will give you a call in a couple of days. I will go check out what is going on in your recent post.
Hey thanks. I got a lot of things to bookmark off this post. I'm glad you're feeling better since your dental appt.
Good luck reading that manual! Mine is so overwhelming.... It'll take forever to figure it all out. Maybe I just need to read it like a book, instead of trying to do it all. ha.
This blog is so I can share my journey with the Lord, my journey as a wife and mother, and my journey as a homeschool mom. I pray that you will see the Lord in my life through happy and sad times, and that this blog glorifies the Lord.
This is an award and tag free zone, thank you.
