I know it's been a while since I've been on, so I thought I should let you know I'm still around.
We've been doing good, just busy. I've gotten all of our school planning done. I've done our goals, our schedule and the flow of the day. When we moved the big dresser into Paulie's room (when I got my reading corner) I put all of our manipulatives, some crafts and misc. things in half of the dresser. So our bookcase had two whole shelves free. I've got that arranged, cleaned up, sorted and ready for school. I know feel comfortable that we could start school anytime and things would flow nicely. Our official start date is August 13th or 14th. But the kids are already doing some of their work now. We are definitely starting our year completely different this year, but it seems to be going well.
I also had to go birthday shopping for Sarah. She's going to turn 13 next month. My oldest, 13 years old. She loves to go around reminding me she's going to be a teenager and in junior high. I don't need reminders like that. We had church on Saturday of course, and I went to the bible study on Thursday night. And I've been working on our homeschool groups website. There were some other things scattered about in there, but right this minute I can't think of the list.
We have a somewhat busy week coming up. Playgroup tomorrow, church Wednesday, bible study on Thursday and Paul might get a day off of work on Friday. He has overtime, which he can't have, so instead of paying him OT, they will give him time off instead. It's a bummer he won't be getting overtime, but it will be nice for him to have a day off on Friday. I'm also going to try and do some more light school work with the kids this week. So all that to say, I'm not sure if I'll be around much this week either.
Please know that we are doing great, but I guess so great that it's causing me to take periodic blog breaks. I try to keep up with most of your blogs, even if I don't have time to comment. I hope you all are having a blessed week.
I totally understand. I feel a pull away from blogging myself with all I want to do. I am posting, but mainly for my family who reads the blog and to keep a record of what we are up to for myself. I can't respond to every comment nor read all the blogs I used to read. I was feeling a little bad about that, but really, everyone knows blogging is something you have to fit in between real life stuff and blogging sometimes takes a back seat. I am so happy to hear you are so organized and ready to go. I am almost there!

I am very glad you are doing well ! Today I am saying NO to the garden. lol
I am going to make myself sit down and get a skeleton down on paper so I feel a bit grounded in what we are doing this year. It helped that the books that were on back order for my Canadian History came yester day !!! I just LOVE getting stuff in the mail . [0=
Hello! Hello! We are STILL rocking and ROLLING over here in CA... I posted about my earthquake adventure this morning if you're interested. Fun stuff!!!
Wow, it sounds like you are really ready for school. That's great! We are excited about school this year too, but I'm not ready organiztionally-wise (which is odd for me since I'm such an organizer), but have been too busy with theater & now canning. It will all come too soon anyways. Just enjoying our Summer! You have church on Saturday? Does your church also have services on Sunday? Just curious. Our little country church just has Sunday School & Church on Sunday morning and that's it right now. When the school year resumes, they will have AWANA on Wed & a Bible Class on Monday nights too, so we may go Monday nights. Have a good day my friend!!!
There are so many things going on.
Glad to hear that y'all are doing well and it sounds like you have really settled in to your new community.
Good for you!
This blog is so I can share my journey with the Lord, my journey as a wife and mother, and my journey as a homeschool mom. I pray that you will see the Lord in my life through happy and sad times, and that this blog glorifies the Lord.
This is an award and tag free zone, thank you.
