We've had a good couple of days. We have finished our first full week of lessons, and it went well. I was very happy that we actually went out on some days, and came back and finished up the lessons in the afternoon. I wasn't real good with that last year and so far this week has been good. If I can set it up early in our school year as the 'norm' then it's not so hard later in the year. We'll see how it goes.
We helped my nephew pack up for his move on Friday night. We weren't planning on helping, because we thought he had friends ready and it was all taken care of. But then my sister called me yesterday afternoon to let me know that it was just her, my niece and nephew. My nephew didn't have lots of things to move, he lived in a studio apartment. But with my sisters back, she didn't need to be loading up boxes into his truck and such. So we went over there and helped get the trucks packed up. It went pretty easy and quick. It was a bummer to see him go, but I'm blessed to know my sister now has some help out there now with her son home.
The rest of the night, we did nothing but relax. Oh, it was so needed. I had some homeschool group website updates to do, and some other things, but I didn't do any of them. I curled up on the couch with Paul and watched the Olympics. It was so nice and so very needed. I did the website updates today, and I worked on some other computer things. So it's been pretty mellow day, again what we really needed. We have church tonight and then going to friends house tomorrow afternoon, but both of those things are fun and relaxing. I hope you are all having a blessed weekend.
Sounds like a very refreshing weekend to me. The snuggling on the couch and watching the olympics part made me jealous. Maybe we can fit some of that in tonight :D
I am glad you had a nice relaxing week end. I am sorry you will miss your nephew but I am glad his mom with get the help she needs. Thank you for all your kind words. I hope getting around commenting will get easier SOON.
Sending you blessings and ((HUGS)) my SSiC

PS: Did you see that I wanted to send you a beaded book mark ? What colours did you want?
I'm glad you were able to get a date out with Paul.
It is good to have time to relax and veg. out.
And now the Olympics are over and we will all have so much more time in our lives without watching that...well, except football fans, heh? :)
This blog is so I can share my journey with the Lord, my journey as a wife and mother, and my journey as a homeschool mom. I pray that you will see the Lord in my life through happy and sad times, and that this blog glorifies the Lord.
This is an award and tag free zone, thank you.
