I'm a little nervous doing this, but I'm going to put my new website link out here. Believe me, it is far from being done, and actually only 2 pages are somewhat done. But I've been having fun learning true HTML and how to put together a website from scratch. The learning curve has been steep at times, but once I've learned the basics, it's been flowing pretty nice. The hardest part and what I needed to do before anything else, was the actual construction of the site. By far, my learning of all this is far from over, but I have learned the basics and I look forward to adding more things to it. Now comes the time that I have to start putting actual content like templates, graphics and such on the site. I'll put my HSB and blogging templates out there, plus different graphics I make. I'll also start working on website templates, but that will be far down the road. And eventually, prayerfully, I'll be making some more websites for people, we'll see. I truly give this site and anything that comes from it to the Lord. I'm not sure where it will lead, or if I'll even keep it all after a year when my accounts expire. But it's what I've been doing, and I am proud of what I've accomplished. I hope to make it more polished and have more content, but I wanted to share it with my friends. Let me know what you think, and if you have any ideas. So here it is.
What a great site! Congrats!!! Let's get traffic to it when your ready... I'll help. Well, guess what? I am about to hit my 500 blog entry tomorrow... In celebration, I've created a DVD give-a-way on my blog for those who participate in Weblink Wednesday. Come on by and take a look. It might be something you might want to consider entering. Fun stuff!
It's looking good, JoAnn! Can't wait to see the finished product. I know this web building stuff can be so time consuming! I didn't even do mine and it took up a lot of time. You are very gifted and will do a great job!
Wow, I love the verse you have for your site. Your graphics are so cute. You truly have the gift. I know you will do very well with this. Keep up the good work.
Mailing that DVD tomorrow.
((((hugs))))

All right, J!
I've been out of town so that's my excuse to really not be going around at all except to quickly post an S&T, read as many as I can, and off to the next "catch up" project before next week, when I start reading with the little boys. pant, pant.
But anyway . . . your website looks very cool! I'm quite envious of the way you have your clickable link buttons all the same. They never move and you hop from page to page. That is so not fair. I have not been able to figure out how to do that (and frankly don't have the initiative to investigate further). What web design program are you using? I saw your URL addy and see you have "extra" addy info than just your blog name. Where did you decide to host then? Did you see the IX stuff I sent you?
I think your colors are so warm and friendly, and I look forward to seeing more content. I have found that putting content on my blog is the easiest thing of all. The "setting up" with the buttons, the background, and the "theme" were nearly overwhelming to me, but the content is simple, so long as I resize the pictures so they are low, low, low. I don't want folks to have to wait forever to load a page.
Speaking of which, I need to get on my FrontPage and add a little content about the PayPal options for buying autographed books. It really works! I've had a few orders this way and it tickles me to see how "official" it all looks when it comes in my e-mail box. He-he!
Let us all know when it's ready for the official unveiling, and I'm glad you gave us a sneak peek.
This blog is so I can share my journey with the Lord, my journey as a wife and mother, and my journey as a homeschool mom. I pray that you will see the Lord in my life through happy and sad times, and that this blog glorifies the Lord.
This is an award and tag free zone, thank you.
