Yes, it did happen, we actually got snow. It started snowing yesterday, lightly, nothing really sticking. It was half rain, half snow, just a wet, cold day. But they kept saying that we would wake up to a couple of inches of snow, and sure enough we did. The kids are outside right now playing in it with their friends. It's still snowing lightly, but nothing else is really collecting. We don't have to go anywhere today, so we get to just sit and enjoy it.
I might be making some banana bread in a bit, if my bananas ripen a bit more. I have them in paper bags with an apple trying to make them ripen a bit quicker. We bought some last night, that were pretty ripe, for the specific purpose of making banana bread, they just need a little help. A friend of Paul's from work gave him a flash drive to give to me. It's a small one, but I am so excited about it. I've used it already, and it was great. So I'm making a banana bread for him to say thank you. Paul said he really liked my banana bread when he brought it in last time, so we thought it would be a nice Thank You treat. Then I was going to make another loaf for him to share with his other co-workers. Of course when the kids heard I was making banana bread, they wanted some too. So if the bananas ripen like I want them to, I'll be making three loaves today. If not, I'll make them tomorrow.
Well, enough of my rambling, here are the pictures of the snow.
These first pictures are from yesterday when it was just lightly snowing, and barely sticking.
And this is what we woke up to today.
Of course this will all be gone by next week. We'll be near 50 in a few days. Ahh, got to love fall in the North West Mountains.
Very pretty! If we do get any in the next few days, it'll be gone quickly too. Just a quick taste of winter, then hopefully some more fall weather....I'm not quite ready for all out winter yet!
Ah, rub it in... go ahead... rub it in. Oh, thanks for posting photos. I miss the snow SO MUCH. Love the photos. We are having cooler air, but its still in the 80's.
I am SOOO glad that's in your neck of Idaho and not mine! I'm fine with the cool weather, I'm just not sure I'm ready for snow yet. Let me enjoy a bit more fall!
Wow we only see snow HIGHER up the moutains. Not down to our elevation...yet. I sure makes the mt tops soooooooo pretty. I need to take pics of them. That is a nice gift and I KNOW you will put it to good use. [0=
