As I've been in my far away land (see my previous post to know what I mean), I also try and keep up with the numerous blogs I like to read. I forget when I started reading Sheila Wray Gregoire blog, but I have always liked them. Today her entry was quite touching. I have dealt a lot with thinking my Christian walk should be perfect, peaceful and no hard times at all. I know, from the Word of God, that we are not promised a stress free, fun filled, perfect life. But of course when it doesn't turn out that way I wonder if I've done something wrong and my trust in the Lord falters. A dear friend of mine continually reminds me that bad things happen in this world because of the sins of Adam & Eve, and that is so true. We live in a fallen and sinful world, so things are not always going to be great, and many times it has absolutely nothing to do with me and what I did or didn't do. So anyway, back to this blog I was reading. Sheila wrote it in such a profound way about praying for blessings that I just have to share it with those of you who may not read her blog. Click here to read her entry. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. And now it's time to go back to the far off lands I have been in for days. I must find out what happens with Dick & Leslie Moore (those of you who read the Anne of Green Gables series know what I'm talking about).
Glad you are enjoying your books!!! Just go back and read the New Testament when you are feeling like you have done something wrong and that is why you are having your ups and downs. Not many people today face the trials and persecutions that Paul, Peter, Silas and all those people did. It's a good reminder that a Christian's life is not all ways easy. :)
This blog is so I can share my journey with the Lord, my journey as a wife and mother, and my journey as a homeschool mom. I pray that you will see the Lord in my life through happy and sad times, and that this blog glorifies the Lord.
This is an award and tag free zone, thank you.
