Some of the techniques that she discusses are used in California schools to "study" Islam. We home school for a reason, and we need to keep the faith and keep doing what we know is right.
I'm happy to see someone addressing this problem -- government schools. A very real, live, dangerous situation.
I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma where there are as many churches on every corner as there are gas stations yet the very information spoken of by Iserbyt is happening in our schools with the approval of it's citizenry.
I have spent my last 5 years speaking on this very topic. I became involved when my son's were in public school and Tulsa public skewls put together a professional development course (PD) for area teachers in partnership with The Islamic Society of Tulsa and the Middle East Policy Council. Teachers must preform a certain number of PD classes in order to maintain their teaching credentials so, naturally, only history teachers attended this course from 4 different school districts. As a concerned parent, I attended the PD course and received the 500+ page curriculum that was given free to participants. I also attended on behalf of our local radio station so I could later relay the information to the audience of Tulsa and the surrounding area of what took place at the PD course. Needless to say, the course was indoctrination into the Q'uran; it was not ABOUT the culture of the Middle East as was being told by the Tulsa Public Skewl system. I have a power point presentation should you ever like to have it on this particular PD class and the people/organizations behind it. There were questionable terrorist ties to this group.
Anyway, I stayed active holding free seminars to the public to try and educate Tulsa area citizens on what is going on. I even attended a UN conference in Vancouver, Canada. I gained some support but about lost my mind in the process. I have since hung up my paper, pen, camera and tape recorder to home school my son's. The NWO will have hell to pay with son's like mine being home educated.
Anyway, I really only wanted to thank you for posting the TRUTH on here for moms to read AND understand -- understand the important job we have in preparing our children to coexist with those helpless children caught in the system who, at the end of their "education", won't know come here from sic'em.

I am finding that my rediscovered faith (unchurched) forces me to hang the towel back up on the rack each day, because other people rely on it to be there...even if it's a little crooked. We are Libertarian family in California.
