We actually bought a Hoover steam cleaner around 8 - 9 years ago when we were first married. We usued it every few months over the years and were recently having problems with it....so I'd been probably 6 months without steam cleaning our floor. Well, hubby took the cleaner into a repair store and they said it was completely dead! They recommended he go to the Hoover repair store and talk with them about hte new machines. He said that we had one of the best ones - that Hoover is really good. In fact, the steam cleaner we bought so long ago hasn't changed much.

They made the containers more clear - easier to see the water levels and there is another scrubbing brush moving the carpet around.

Anyways, hubby came home to tell me at the Hoover store one of the steam cleaners was 169.00. I pulled up the info of this one at Lowes and Home Dept and it was normally priced at 239 dollars! SO hubby went back to the repair store and bought it! That is the picture I posted above.

So yesterday I vacuumed our floor with normal vacuum - to get up a lot of the dirt and dog hair - we have one of those cleaning light that goes from red to green when the floor is "clean".

Then I steam cleaned the floor. Prepare to be digusted.....This is what the water looked like when I dumped it into the tub.....


Yuk!!!!!


I should have taken a picture of how BEAUTIFUL my floor looks! All the stains came up. I love my new steam cleaner! I had to share with y'all!

Unfortunately the exertion was too much for me pregnancy wise and I was extremely sick all the rest of the day. But I sat on the couch enjoying my wonderful clean floor

If you've thought about getting one I would highly recommend it! Of course as things always go....It happened to be raining that day without me knowing it. When I opened the door and Fido ran in....I had some tiny paw prints on my clean carpet. Sigh.....When the dirt was dry I was able to vacuum most of it up, but it was still annoying!

I just got a new vacuum too and I LOVE it! Never underestimate giving a woman a good vacuum cleaner! In fantasy worlds we'll tell you that we prefer gifts of jewelry, but in the REAL world we love our appliances of convenience! hee hee hee.
Sorry you got so wore out doing all that work. :-( But at least you get to sit and enjoy clean floors now! :-)

I am afraid my floors would produce an after picture like that- big dogs that bring mud in, plus 4 kids, 2 adults and 8 cats....hope you enjoy your clean floors!

March is a lovely time to have a little one,makes me broody!!I love Spring.
