New Lives...
Our family went to a wedding today. I've gotten to be real close with this young girl pretty quickly. She has loved Anna since the moment she was born. We talked with her a little when she came over wanting to hold her. Then we went to a women's retreat with our church. Anna was maybe 6 months then. I was tired and lonely and sad and at the pool this young lady and her friend were talking. She was in college and decided that she enjoyed her job as a tech at the hospital so much that she was thinking about dropping out and working full time. We got on some pretty deep subjects about life, hardships, making decisions and all that.
When we came back from the retreat we both realized God had brought us together and was teaching each of us things through the other one. Today was her wedding! She had gone back to visit family and her boyfriend surprised her and asked her to marry him. She called on her cell phone when they were driving back to tell me. I was honored that she called to let me know. She has been busy planning her wedding and we didn't get together much, but I've been honored to pray for her as they embark on their new life together.
All married couples start out with stars in their eyes. After a time you realize that since no one is perfect there are real issues you have to work through. I hope that God continues to bring people into their lives to be real friends and encouragers to them.
The wedding was beautiful and I was going to write a whole bunch of things...but I'm actually REALLY tired and I hear the baby waking up. I need to feed her and put her down again since she missed her nap.
oh well, back later - maybe I'll write more.

It's cool when the Lord puts people in our lives at just the right time. Glad you had a good time at the wedding. :) Emily
