A poem I just wrote, you will never guess who it's about! (just joking :)
A pen in her hand,
A whisper of thought,
Leaks upon the paper wrought.
In her hand, she controls her pen,
Shaping each thought into a word so fine.
Her pen begins to scratch,
It pauses - she is lost in thought.
She dips her pen into the ink,
And places it upon the sheet,
In her mind, she words her thoughts.
How amazing is one drop of ink,
For through it,
Every year that stands between us,
Just seems to melt away.
She is speaking strait to me,
Though she never knew, - who I was to be.
Miss Austen knew just how to shape her words,
Like a golden thread of time, she opens our mind.
I thank the Lord for Jane,
For He knew just what was to be,
And ordained it in His good time.
And though I wish I knew Miss Jane,
I shall see her yet, and we shall sit side by side,
And in that glorious place abide.
Yes it is about Jane Austen! I have been finding out a lot about her, and I really admire her. Her brother said she was a devout Christan, and some of her last words she spoke before she died were: "God grant me patience, pray for me, oh, pray for me!" Well I shall write later!
I fare ye well!

Wonderful poem! Very well done!
I love your new template!!! Where did you find that picture? I think it fits you very well!
Tell me - what is it you like so much about Jane Austen? I did enjoy Pride and Prejudice, but personally I don't care for her that much, and I was wondering what attracted you to her.
Love you!

That was a lovely poem!! The more you talk of her the more I admire her too!
Oh dear, another case of cookies? I can simpathize with you, I am known for my cooking disasters. I add too much of one thing, leave something out, make cookies as hard as rocks, add too much spices, and then I made brownies once that were rubbery. I have tried Trukish Delight and made a new weapon, it was hard as rock and I dropped it on my toe.
I believe cooking disasters are the worse we have to face. When something is ruined that we have worked hours on, it is heart breaking. However, I am always reminded of Jo in Little Women. If ever a girl couldn't cook it was she.
Whenever I have a disaster in the kitchen I laugh and think, this is something Jo would do! Or, I shall be able to use this in a story, and that cheers me up. I made one of my characters a bad cook so I could add all my disaster into my books, half the stuff this guy does I have already done :).
Oh dear!! You have one of those too? My first laptop was like that, it would quit after I had pages and pages writen, it was so discouraging! When you do get a laptop look for one that has XP on it, and take it to someone to look at before you buy it. Used ones are very nice, that is what mine is. But try not to get Vista, it is a disaster waiting to happen. Not that it matters, that is soon all we shall be able to get. I am hoping Josh and his brother Michael came keep me well supplied in XP until after 2011 when hopefully something better then Vista will be out.
But yes, I have no idea what I would do without Josh. Ever since I got a laptop he has always been there to help me and keep it running. If it weren't for him I doubt I would be writing as I would have given up on my computer long ago!
Well, I suppose I should go for now. Your faithful friend, Isilwen of Hemlock
